UNDERSTANDING YOUR DOG’S BEHAVIOR  

Our April 3rd lecture on "Social success: It's not just for People" by Terri Sajdera was a well received.  For those who were unable to attend, they missed a very good basic background and explanation of why and how our four-legged friend's minds work. She explained why it was so important to have all sorts of stimulation - neurological and environmental, different mind challenges from the mother and the breeder from day one until they go home and continue at home. There was a section on aggressive dogs and degrees of biting - why many dogs are euthanized for the wrong reasons and why some dogs need to be put down.  The lecturer gave all of us another way of thinking as to what to look for in our next Westie and breeder.
